Ryde Academy, based on the Isle of Wight, is an 11 to 18 years Secondary Academy and is sponsored by the Academies Enterprise Trust (AET). There are approximately 1,000 students on roll and this is expected to rise to 1,500 by 2017. The school is set in spacious grounds in the town of Ryde which is a short walk from the local esplanade; providing excellent transport links to Portsmouth and Southsea.

In 2017, Ryde Academy will have a new multi-million pound school building on the existing site, with a student capacity of 1,500.

The role:

We are looking for a cleaner who is able to work on their own initiative but also part of a team.

You will be expected to carry out cleaning duties to a high standard in any area allocated by the Cleaning Supervisor, whilst working with minimal supervision and ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times. The core working hours for this role are 4.00pm until 7.00pm during term time, plus an additional 11 days to be worked over the school holiday periods on days required by the cleaning supervisor.
