A cleaning job that really makes a difference? Why clean in a supermarket, or an office block, when you could put your skills to work in a school?

Where what you do is as important as the teacher at the front of the class.

There is no doubt that children coming into a school which is clean and ordered makes all the difference to how they feel, and how they perform through the day. It is fact!

It could be you who makes this difference!

With the added advantage of part time hours, towards the end of the day, giving you maximum flexibility to use your time earlier in the day as you wish.

About Kingsbridge Community College

An outstanding learning community, where individuals thrive

Welcome to Kingsbridge Community College and thank you for your interest in our school.

We are passionate about learning and ensuring that our learners thrive and grow amidst our beautiful surroundings here in South Devon.  We recognise the benefits a first class education brings and encourage our students to be ambitious and bold in their learning journey and to make the most of every opportunity.  We are proud of the excellent teaching, care and guidance that we offer, along with first class facilities and a wide range of opportunities in and beyond the classroom.  We are justifiably proud of our Outstanding Ofsted judgement, and routinely seek excellence in all that we do.

Year on year, our students attain at the very highest levels and we are proud of our position alongside the very best state comprehensive schools in the South West and nationally.  Our examination results are outstanding and the significant majority of our students go on into our 6th Form and from there to university.  KCC students are well prepared for their futures and are successful in gaining places at the universities of their first choice; these universities are also ranked among the best in the United Kingdom, indeed internationally, including Oxbridge.  We ensure that our students are exceptionally well prepared to make choices about their future, whether that is higher education, training or employment.

We have a strong commitment to developing the whole child and providing a wealth of opportunities beyond the classroom.  Our students regularly delight and amaze us with their talents, achievements and successess across a wide range of activities.  We organise concerts, festivals, musical productions, plays, competitions, shows, exhibitions and leadership programmes for students and each year we reach national and regional finals in a range of sports and other extra-curricular activities.

We are a Teaching School and as such are committed to providing high quality training and development to new and experienced school staff, raising the standards of provision far beyond our own establishment.  In September 2016 we became one of five national Research Schools through a joint project led by The National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) and Education Endowment Foundation (EEF).  This exciting programme will see the College further develop its use of evidence based practice and expertise across an alliance of schools.

I hope that what you have read gives you a sense of what we value most - an outstanding learning community where individuals thrive.  If you wish to be part of our success as a parent, student, employee or friend please do not hesitate to make contact with us to find out more.
