St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School is an independent, co-ed school serving students from kindergarten to Year 6. The school is located in Lochinvar, in the Hunter region of New South Wales and part of the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. The school was founded in 1883 on the traditions of the Sisters of St Joseph and is experiencing healthy and continual growth. Currently St Patrick’s currently caters for 399 students.

The school library is central to learning at St Patrick’s and provides staff and students with a broad range of equipment, spaces and other resources to enhance teaching and learning. Classrooms are well equipped with SmartBoards and other computer technology. The school also has a canteen that provides students with healthy food choices four days a week, and before- and after-school care is available on a daily basis.
Curriculum
St Patrick's Primary school has followed the Australian Curriculum since its implementation in 2014. English and mathematics are the highest priority learning areas, with other subject areas including science, HSIE, creative arts and PDHPE.
