Working Hours: Monday to Friday 6am to 8.30am
To provide general cleaning assistance within the Academy and, by working flexibly with other members of staff, to ensure that duties are carried out efficiently and effectively.
1 To ensure classrooms, toilets, offices and communal spaces are kept clean carrying out dusting, hoovering and mopping where required
2 To ensure that the Academy site is kept as litter-free and tidy as possible.
3 To make sure that the bins provided for litter are emptied on a regular basis.
4. To pick up litter in the required areas, both inside and outside the Academy buildings.
5. To ensure that academy toilets are cleaned regularly as directed by the cleaning supervisor.
6 To be fully aware of and to comply with all departmental instructions and procedures relating to Health and Safety at Work and to recognise the responsibilities required under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
7 To be fully aware of and to comply with the instructions under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
8 To undertake any other reasonable duties and activities that fall within the grade and role of the post as decided by the Cleaning Supervisor, or the SLT responsible for SLT and following discussion with the post-holder.
