We are seeking an enthusiastic, conscientious individual to join our busy school cleaning team. You will need to have a great attention to detail and the ability to self-motivate and work well within a team. There is always the possibility of covering extra hours due to staff absences, so some flexibility would be appreciated.

This post offers fulfilment in knowing that the work you do makes a positive difference in supporting the school and staff and offers the opportunity to join a well-established and friendly team of professional cleaners.

Candidates will need to demonstrate the following:

• Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the Cleaning Team

• Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner with minimal supervision

• Ability to act on own initiative, dealing with unexpected issues when they arise and being able to problem solve effectively

• The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a good practical aptitude, and be able to carry out routine cleaning in all areas of the school

• This post can be physically demanding and candidates need to be able to carry out the duties effectively and thoroughly

About Wadham School

Wadham School is a mixed comprehensive, Church of England secondary school in the town of Crewkerne in South Somerset. It is a voluntary controlled state school under the Diocese of Bath and Wells.

In September 2022 the school increased in size with the addition of pupils from Years 7 and 8 as part of the local area reform. The school is now a thriving 11-18 secondary school with a Sixth Form.
