The Thrive Co-operative Learning Trust formally YHCLT is responsible for nine schools across Hull; two secondary and seven primary. We are committed to ensuring that all of our schools have access to high quality support services to underpin the excellent work that our schools do in educating our pupils. 

Priory Primary school is looking for a highly motivated cleaner to join our team . Experience is preferred but not essential.  You will be expected to provide and maintain effective and efficient cleaning service in specified areas of the school. The  use of domestic and industrial cleaning equipment and materials is also desirable.

Priory Primary School aims to provide a safe, happy and secure environment where every child achieves their full potential. We aim for enthusiastic learners through providing a stimulating and challenging curriculum. Team work between all stakeholders – children, staff, parents, governors – is at the heart of the school and we celebrate both achievements and successes. Our consistent positive approach to learning and teaching engages children and promotes lifelong learning.’  

We are an expanding primary school in the west of the city. We are popular and always oversubscribed. Following a significant expansion and building programme, which will be completed in September 2016, we will have enough space for 420 children at Priory Primary School.

Strengths

•Parents and the community, who support their children with their learning and by attending school activities.

•Foundation Stage, in which children settle well into school life and make consistently good progress.

•Small teaching groups in Yr 5 / 6 to accelerate progress.

•Effective intervention to support children’s development and learning in Maths, Reading, Speech and Language, Social Skills and Fine and gross motor skills

•All children in Year 1 (and Year 2 children that were unsuccessful in their Phonics screening) having an adult led guided reading group each morning

•Enterprise activities embedded into the Learning Challenge curriculum and supporting community links.

•Strong partnerships with other agencies (School Health Plus ½ day weekly support from our school nurse)

•Strong school to school support within our 11 school partnership, with some key staff providing support and challenge within other schools across the city.

•Enthusiastic, dedicated and supporting staff who are willing to go the extra mile with the aim of ensuring our children achieve their full potential

•Flexible and determined staff and governors committed to finding creative solutions to school improvement issues

•Carefully planned and engaging learning challenge curriculum, which not only supports academic learning and the acquisition of basic skills but also lays significant emphasis on the children’s social moral spiritual and cultural development

We are currently graded as ‘good’ by Ofsted and are working hard to try to ensure a positive outcome at our next inspection.
