Horbury Academy is seeking to appoint a dedicated and reliable Cleaning Assistant to support our established Cleaning Team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a positive environment that supports teaching, learning, and the wellbeing of all members of the Academy community.
You will work under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor to ensure that high standards of cleanliness are consistently achieved throughout the school premises. Duties will include maintaining cleanliness of equipment, classrooms, corridors, changing rooms, toilet facilities and other designated areas. The role also involves operating equipment safely and effectively, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of routine resources and materials, and undertaking basic record-keeping as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
We have shift patterns available, and candidates are able to apply for one or all of the following:
Morning Shift: 6.30am to 8.30am
Lunchtime Shift: 2.15pm to 3.00pm
Evening Shift: 3.15pm to 6.00pm

The successful candidate will be:
An excellent role model, consistently demonstrating high personal and professional standards
Willing to develop and maintain a strong understanding of health and safety procedures, policies, and best practices
Able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of the Cleaning Team
Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to provide cover for staff absences and support the wider team as required
