Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a Cleaning Supervisor to lead our cleaning team who work to maintain the cleanliness of our buildings.  Under the direction of the Estate Manager, you will lead a team of cleaners to ensure that the required high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are met.  The post will be based at The Cooper School, however the Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for cleaning staff across all Bicester Learning Academy sites, currently The Cooper School and Glory Farm Primary School.


The working hours for this position are 36 hours per week for 44 weeks a year (term time only plus INSET days and 5 weeks during school holidays).  The shift is split across the day as follows:-


Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

6.15am to 9.00am then 2.45pm to 7.00pm

Wednesdays

6.15am to 9.00am then 1.45pm to 7.00pm


Flexibility of working hours is required during school holiday periods due to site opening hours.


This is a Grade 5 position, with a current starting salary of £18,795.00 per annum full time equivalent.  The actual salary for the hours and weeks worked will be £17,636.43 per annum.

In return it is essential that candidates have cleaning and supervisory experience. Experience of operating specific and appropriate equipment, and a basic understanding of Health & Safety is desirable. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing paperwork associated with ordering of resources and essential record keeping and must be physically fit enough to undertake manual duties.
