Currently comprising of three academies – ‘BOA Creative, Digital and Performing Arts’ (opened in 2011), ‘BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy’ (opened in 2021) and ‘BOA Digital Technologies’ (opened in September 2022) – we also have The Old Rep Theatre, in the heart of Birmingham City Centre, within our portfolio. Located in the centre of Birmingham and within the hub of the creative and digital industries in the West Midlands, we benefit from superb facilities for academic, vocational and extra-curricular activities.

 

BOA Group is seeking to appoint a Clerk to Governors and Trust Board, to work under the direction and guidance of the CEO and CFO to provide general clerical support across the group. The role will be primarily based at BOA Digital.

 

You will provide effective administrative support and advice to the Trust Board and Governing bodies on governance, constitutional and procedural matters, and to any sub-committees. You will ensure the Governing/Trust Boards are appropriately constituted and all areas of governance are always compliant in line with statutory frameworks and any other relevant guidance.

 

Effective communication and organisational skills are required together with the ability to communicate well with a range of stakeholders. We are keen to attract reliable, confidential and self-motivated professionals with a strong attention to detail and high personal and professional standards. You will also have knowledge and understanding of MAT structures and education/governance legislation and any other relevant guidance.

 

The hours are variable, but you will need to cover:

 

- 3 x Trust Board meetings (one per term)

- 3 x Finance and Resources meetings (one per term) 

- 3 x full Governing Body (one per term) CDPA

- 3 x full Governing Body (one per term) Digital

- 3 x full Governing Body (one per term) Stage & Screen

- 3 x full Governing Body (one per term) BOAT

- Ad-hoc as required
