Haydon is a large, friendly and creative school in North West London. We have been judged as outstanding by OFSTED. We are looking to appoint a Clerk to Governors to thrive in our supportive environment. Required as soon as possible.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to provide professional clerking services to the Governing Body. This is an exciting opportunity for a flexible, motivated and organised individual to work with our dedicated Board of Governors.

Duties of the role include preparing focused agendas, attending and accurately taking minutes of the Governing Board meetings, providing advice and support to the Governing Board.

Effective ICT and inter-personal skills, confidence, adaptability, energy and discretion are essential for the role. You will also need to be able to read and assimilate complex documents, and give sound advice based on appropriate legislation. The majority of  the Governing body meetings (approximately twenty per year) are held in the evening during term time and on occasionduring the day.  

Preparation, minutes and other work can be undertaken at home or in school as agreed between Governors, school and the suitable candidate.

Haydon School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form in Middlesex serving pupils from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Eastcote, Pinner has approximately 2000 students on record. 

Haydon school was established in 1977 and converted to academy status in 2011 and was identified as outstanding by Ofsted in 2007.
