Job overview
Greater Peterborough UTC is seeking to appoint a dynamic, flexible individual with great organisational skills and proven administrative experience to support our Academy Council, which provide local governance. The successful candidate will provide effective and efficient clerking, administrative support and record keeping to each of the Academy Councils.
Previous experience would be an advantage, but full training could be provided for the right candidate. An interest in education and passion for continual improvement are essential.
Duties will include:
- Clerking 6 committee meetings per year, including drafting agendas. minuting the meetings and ensuring follow-up
- Providing advice on all governance, constitutional and procedural matters
- Ensuring the Academy Council is properly constituted and compliant with statutory requirements
- Providing administrative support to the Academy Council
- Supporting volunteers in governance roles
The Clerk is accountable to the CMAT Governance Leader, Academy Council Chair and Principal of the school in which the Clerk is working.
