Job overview
We wish to appoint to this Multi Academy Trust of two schools, an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Clerk to the Governors to provide advice to the Governing Board on governance as well as constitutional and procedural matters.
The role will be a hybrid model that will accommodate some working from home. However, the successful candidate will be also required to attend face to face meetings at both schools.
The successful candidate will be responsible for: -
• Preparation, typing and distribution of agendas and associated paperwork
• Accurate taking of and typing of minutes at the Full Governing Boards and Committee meetings
• Maintaining accurate records of the Governing Boards and its membership
• Advising the Governing Boards on procedural issues, legal responsibilities, and constitutional matters
Knowledge of how schools and Governing Boards operate would be an advantage along with previous experience of similar work; we invite applications from recently retired school leaders. The individual will have excellent inter-personal and organisational skills.
