Actual Salary £12-14 p/h depending on skills, knowledge and experience.
The post is a zero hours contract with an annual salary expectation of c£3,000.
We are looking for an extremely organised, effective and flexible Clerk to the Governors & Company Secretary to join the Trinity team reporting to the Chair of Governors. The successful candidate will also be Company Secretary for Sevenoaks Churches Educational Trust (SCET).
You will be an individual who prides themselves on attention to detail, able to take accurate minutes, prepare agendas in consultation with the Chair of Committee and Headmaster and collate & distribute papers for meetings in a timely manner. Other responsibilities will be managing the schools’ policies and fulfilling the legal obligations associated with being a Company Secretary.
The successful candidate will understand the importance of strong Governance and that the Clerk/Company Secretary plays a pivotal role in the success of the school. Previous secretarial, office or administrative experience is essential and school experience would be a distinct advantage. A positive attitude and calm manner with the ability to prioritise and deal with a demanding workload is vital. You will be an excellent communicator, have a professional approach and be able to deal with complex matters both face to face and in writing. Candidates will have strong MS office skills e.g. Word and be competent users of email.
Trinity is a Christian four form entry secondary school based in Sevenoaks and we moved into our new building in September 2016 with years 7-10 c470 students. At full capacity we will have 790-840 students which includes our sixth form opening in 2018. We are also taking an additional 60 Y7 students this coming academic year (2 bulge classes).
