Hours:                15 hours per week; Monday to Friday

Contract:            Permanent

Holidays:          25 days plus bank holidays per annum (52 week)

We’re looking for a Clinical - Well-Being Lead to join the Shires Specialist School and Residential Services within Outcomes First Group.

The post holder will lead, manage and hold clinical responsibility across Shires School Sites and the attached residential services. We are looking for someone who wants to work in an exceptional team committed to the outstanding care and welfare of some of the most vulnerable young people. Someone with a holistic and integrated approach to care, education and clinical services would be perfect for this role.

About The Role

The post holder and their supporting team will be located at the Shires and will hold clinical responsibility, manage and develop a multi-disciplinary team providing services of, but not limited to - Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational and Sensory Integration Therapy, Psychotherapy, Clinical Psychology, Therapy Assistants and other appropriate professions.

The post holder will be responsible for the outstanding functionality of the Clinical-Wellbeing Team achieved through a substantial resource being at their disposal. The role works alongside the deputy head teacher and on the senior leadership team

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an outstanding trauma and neurodevelopmental differences informed clinician, with strong and proven leadership and management skills. The multi-disciplinary team will help provide all levels of service intervention to the Shires Schools and Residential provisions.

The post-holder will work within the overall framework of the service policies and procedures and support the integration of their specific service in the day to day running of each provision i.e. standardised assessments and clinical services.

A key aspect of the role will be quality assuring the team and its delivery of informed interventions at a universal, targeted and specialist level to support our wider teams in meeting our children, young peoples and adult’s needs in line with set Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Skills in the management of data are also important as the role includes collecting and analysing data to inform various pieces of service delivery, development and project work.

Essential Criteria (for a full list see the job description)

  • Post Graduate Qualification, for example MA / Doctorate
  • First degree in psychology, education, social work or related discipline
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of working with children and young people with additional needs (e.g. complex trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, mental health needs)
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage strategically
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of key partners
  • Ability to work sensitively with people and resolve conflict
