Frederick Gent School is a vibrant and inclusive learning community where students aged 11-16 are challenged and inspired to do their best.

Situated between the villages of Pinxton and South Normanton, we are a small, friendly school, committed to our core values of Quality, Care and Success.  We believe that high standards and high expectations, excellent teaching, strong pastoral support and a wide variety of enrichment opportunities are the cornerstones of a quality education.

Educating the next generation is a huge responsibility, and one that staff at Frederick Gent School take very seriously.  After all, today’s young people are tomorrow’s doctors, nurses, lawyers, teachers, engineers, business leaders, armed forces workers – and parents.  With the Headteacher and strong leadership team at the helm, our aspirational learning environment will give students the skills they need to flourish – whatever path they choose to follow.  At Frederick Gent School, we strive to be outstanding in all aspects, and aim to achieve excellence in all that we do.  Students study a broad range of GCSE’s, including English, mathematics and science.  ICT is used extensively across all subjects.  Our core values help Frederick Gent to stand out from the crowd.  Together, they reflect a culture of high achievement and progress that enable both our school and our students to aspire to be outstanding.
