Job overview
We are looking for an outstanding teacher with demonstrable leadership qualities and high expectations of students to lead the Social Sciences Department at City and Islington Sixth Form College.
You will lead a team of 15 staff teaching A-level Psychology, Sociology and Geography. These subjects are popular choices for students at the Sixth Form and the department has a long record of success.

City and Islington Sixth Form College is a well-established and over-subscribed specialist A-level centre, with 1700 on roll. We are situated on one site at the Angel in the heart of London and our wonderful students travel from across the capital to learn with us.
All teachers are tutors to a pastoral group of up to 22 A-level students and we have a wide range of enrichment and extension activities to develop our students’ confidence and skills.
