Nash College is a Good College and is part of Livability; we provide specialist education for up to 60 students aged 19 to 25. Our learners are vibrant, humorous, engaging and have a range of complex learning needs, physical disabilities and / or autism. No day is ever the same.

You will provide class based professional support for a lecturer and work closely with the support team based in that class to develop the personalised provision for our learners.​​​​​​​


​​​​​​​We are pleased to be able to offer an excellent opportunity for two committed individuals to make a key contribution to improving the life sum of our students in the role of Co-Tutor at Livability's Nash College.

The successful candidates will provide class-based learning support and work closely alongside a lecturer, sharing the management of key aspects of classroom organization and daily routines. The role includes deputising for the lecturer during absence or planning and preparation time and is the perfect opportunity to gain teaching experience within a special needs environment. We offer supported routes to gaining a teaching qualification or ongoing CPD to develop skills in specialist areas of SEND teaching and learning as well as apprenticeships and HTLA qualification support.

You will have a minimum of a level 2 qualification in English, Math and ICT at a ‘pass’ level or be willing to study with us to gain the qualification in your first six months of employment.

You will be able to demonstrate the capacity to complete training to Level 3 Diploma in Education within two years. This may include an internal literacy and numeracy test subject to qualifications held.

Livability Nash College is an independent specialist further education college for disabled people aged 19-25.

Based in Hayes, Bromley, the college caters for a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including physical, communication and sensory disabilities, medical conditions or autism, in addition to learning disabilities, from severe to profound.

Our approach places a particular emphasis on ‘Learning Through Living’ – personalised learning, facilitating a range of communication needs, and supporting students in the community and with future vocational opportunities. The Course title is ‘Skills for Adult Life’ and runs for three years with an optional fourth year.

Where accreditation is thought to be suitable, courses are selected based on impact, on EHCP outcomes and the provision of education at a level than ensures progression from previous learning for each student.
