Job overview


We are looking to expand our fantastic teaching team and recruit a new teacher to support our PMLD learners. You will lead a group and be part of one of our 4 curriculum pathways supporting physically disabled people on our world leading campus. These students have a wide range of needs and you will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to enable their progress and development in all areas. We have seen this pathway grow in recent years and are now looking at adding an extra class in this department. 

We welcome applicants with diverse skills sets and a variety of experiences in education to join our team. If you are a dynamic, excellent teacher with a passion for teaching we want to hear from you. If you are committed to supporting disabled learners and want to learn and grow with us then we want to hear from you. We’d also love to hear from you if you have an additional passion that you can share with our students.

The successful candidate will:

  • be a passionate and skills teacher
  • have excellent communication skills
  • have the ability to support students across a range of ability levels
  • committed to ensuring students reach their full potential
  • innovative and creative with ability to think outside the box
  • hold QTS or relevant professional qualification (we will consider newly qualified teachers)

Next steps

Following the shortlisting process, the candidates successfully shortlisted will be invited for an informal visit with our Head of College, Ben Bastin. Following this, interviews will be arranged and the day will include a micro teach session with a group of students and a short-written task.
