Job overview
The Commercial Activities Manager will have wide scope to develop the supplementary income from non-fee activities and is an essential part of the Trust’s long term financial strategy. Prior Park Educational Trust has obligations to provide public benefit within its charitable objectives and the building of partnerships in sports and other areas of the curriculum will be a key focus of the post holder. The Commercial Activities Manager will need to be able to balance the drive for business development with the particular needs of commercial activities operating within a school context and will need to be able to develop productive and sustainable working relationships across all departments across several independent but interdependent schools.
The role is based predominantly at Prior Park College but travel to other locations, including overseas, will be required as part of the role of developing and promoting the wider Prior Park Schools commercial activities. It will be expected that the Commercial Activities Manager is a visible presence at The Paragon School in Bath and make routine visits to Gibraltar in agreement with the Director of Finance.
The Commercial Activities Manager will need to be flexible in both their approach and the hours they work. Evening and weekend work will be required when dictated by the events schedule. The Commercial Activities Manager will be a resourceful and creative thinker who has the ability to think ahead
