A vacancy has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Brand and Communications department within the Chesterfield College Group. This role will act as the first point of contact for anyone attending a short course at the college. You will be responsible for communicating with students, via phone and email, until their first class, where you will ‘meet and greet’ them and ensure their first experience of the college is positive, friendly and professional.

You will monitor all bookings, providing reports to senior management staff to enable them to assess performance and applications. You will also be responsible for dealing with cancellations and ensuring minimal loss of revenue where possible. You should be a highly organised individual with a keen eye for detail as you will overseeing a large amount of varied courses, all of which have different times, start dates and requirements.

Part of this role also includes liaison with external individuals and groups who book and use the college’s facilities over the weekend and evenings. You will be required to unlock and lock up rooms, and meet visitors to ensure they have everything they need for their booking – this will require a significant amount of lone working.

Due to the nature of this role, flexibility regarding working hours is a must – you will be required to work on Saturdays and Sundays, along with Monday and Thursday evenings. You will also be asked to adjust hours to suit the needs of the business, so you should be someone who thrives under pressure and is able to work autonomously when required
