Job overview

This is a junior level position and is a great opportunity as a first step role for someone who has little or no formal Chef experience but who has a passion for food and cooking and would like to develop their skills and experience. Training will be on-the-job and the successful candidate will be able to develop their skills working closely with the other three experienced professional Chefs at Bristol Grammar School. Duties include preparing, cooking and presenting food, to the School’s standards, under the direction of the Head Chef or Catering Manager and assisting the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen taking particular responsibility for food production and food hygiene standards, kitchen maintenance and the health and safety of staff.
