5 days per week (37.5 hours)

Salary £28,770 – £30,825 per annum (pay award pending)


The Remarkable Group has been established for over 50 years, providing the highest quality services for autistic young people. Wargrave House School (ages 5 – 16) & Ascent College (ages 16 – 25) operate a nonmaintained special school and independent specialist college with an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding education and care to young people with Autism. We are the first national provider to receive Beacon status from the National Autistic Society.

Applications are invited from ambitious professionals who have the vision to sustain and promote our current high standards of achievement, ensuring the continued development of the organisation.

You will need to be a confident and adaptable communicator (both in person and in writing), with excellent editorial, copywriting, and proof-reading skills, plus a proven ability in adapting your communications and complex information for different audiences and different media (both print and digital).

Using your excellent interpersonal skills, you will support the establishment of networks and contacts with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to raise funds for the charity through various channels, including partnerships, grants, and events. You will work closely with senior management and other stakeholders to meet fundraising targets and support the achievement of organisational objectives.

Working collaboratively with teams and colleagues you will devise and deliver communications and engagement plans, writing engaging and informative e-newsletters, blogs, web content, presentations, scripts, and email updates, as well as supporting event management and the delivery of promotional activities (both online and on site).

You should be enthusiastic, organised, adaptable, and self-motivated, with a proven record of delivering high quality communications within a fast-paced environment.
