Position: Communications Assistant

Start Date: As soon as possible

Annual salary: £25,000 - £28,000 (depending on qualifications and experience) Full time Equivalent. For 3 days per week and time commitment below the actual salary will be £14,550 - £16,296

Time Commitment: Term time + six weeks. This position is 22.5 hours per week during term time, working hours during the week are negotiable.

Working hours during the holidays are negotiable.

Location: Hammersmith

Pension: Eligible to join Nest Pension Scheme

Reports to: Trust Communications Officer

Join our Communications Team, during this exciting time, as we expand the Trust and our curriculum products.

At the Knowledge Schools Trust we believe in providing children with the education they need to succeed in life, regardless of background.

Your support will be key in showcasing our Trust, schools and curriculum products. You will provide administrative support to the Communications Officer with day-to-day tasks including website and social media management. You will also provide comprehensive support on wider communication strategies and projects.

We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Communications Team. You will have the opportunity to work individually and as part of a team to deliver a wide range of tasks and projects to promote our academic excellence and knowledge-rich curriculum.

 The successful candidate will:

  • Be a pro-active individual who takes initiative
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to details
  • Have the ability to effectively prioritise and manage tasks
  • Have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Have strong IT and Microsoft Office skills
  • Have previous experience with social media and marketing
  • Be able work proactively with colleagues to ensure that content is forthcoming
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Have a professional approach at all times
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children at the School
  • Be aware of and adhere to all school policies


You may already have marketing communications, creative or other relevant experience or you may have relevant qualifications which are suitable to our role and looking for a new exciting role in marketing. If so, we’d love to hear from you!
