West Kirby School and College caters for children and young people, aged 5-19 years, with a range of complex special educational needs and disabilities and offers day and/or residential provision. We support pupils with social and communication difficulties, including Autistic Spectrum Condition; complex learning, sensory and emotional needs, across a range of cognitive abilities. Flexibility, humour and willingness to go the extra mile are essential for all staff to ensure a high standard of support for all our pupils.

Role Overview:

West Kirby School and College is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Communications Assistant to join the growing Central Services Marketing Team, to support the Marketing Manager and Headteacher.

The Communications Assistant will lead on operational communications to support the school marketing; including printed termly newsletters, communications across a range of channels including digital marketing (mainly school website and social media), along with communications to parents/carers, under direction of the Marketing Manager and Headteacher. This role requires a team player with proven experience, creativity and a proactive can-do attitude to join our vibrant and effective Marketing Department.

The aim is provide a functional and proactive communications role, to promote positive outcomes of pupils and activities at the school, supporting engagement with a range of stakeholders including families, community, Trustees & Patrons and professional bodies. The post holder will work with external creative and technology partners.
