The Altius Trust have an exciting opportunity for a Community and Safeguarding Officer to join the team at our growing school for South Manchester, MEA Central. This is a varied role giving professional support to the Designated Safeguarding Lead. The successful applicant will facilitate the development of safeguarding and child protection policies, including training and implementing procedures, working with our students, their families and the local community, responding appropriately to disclosures or concerns and raising awareness of safeguarding and child protection. 

Applicants should be professional, flexible and enthusiastic, able to work on their own initiative, under pressure and have the ability to prioritise to meet demands and deadlines. 

You will have experience of working with children and/or families within a safeguarding and child protection environment.

MEA Central opened to 210 Year 7 students in September 2017 and will grow year on year until we are full in 2022. We are defined by our mission, ‘A Fantastic Future for All', we care about helping students to be their best and know the only way to do this is through academic achievement, character development and strong pastoral support.
