Join AET as our Community Partnerships Lead and make a lasting impact on the education of thousands of children across the country. AET is a national group of 57 primary, secondary, and special schools, dedicated to providing an excellent education for every child, every day. We believe in the power of localism and the importance of forging purposeful relationships with the diverse communities we serve.

As our Community Partnerships Lead, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and managing AET’s localism strategy. Your mission will be to create meaningful engagement and partnerships with families and communities, ensuring that our schools become active participants in understanding and supporting their needs. You will work closely with the Governance Team to guarantee accountability to local stakeholders and effective decision-making.

In this exciting new role, you will have the opportunity to shape a critical priority for the trust. As an active member of our Network Advancement team, focused on enhancing our network as a whole, you will collaborate closely with various teams across AET Central Services and all of our schools. This position offers the chance to make a real difference and contribute to the growth and development of our organisation.

Your key responsibilities:

  1. Localism: Design and implement AET's localism approach, ensuring that all 57 schools actively engage with and support their communities.
  2. Programmes: Develop a comprehensive set of core programmes at the national, regional, and local levels, enabling schools to actively participate in their communities and connect with families.
  3. Pupil and Parent Voice: Establish an effective process, in collaboration with the Head of Research and Analysis, to engage with pupils and parents on a large scale, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
  4. Academy Councils: Work closely with the Governance Team to harness the local knowledge, insights, and feedback of Academy Council members in every school across the trust.
  5. Leadership: Actively contribute to the Network Advancement Team, representing the team's work across the trust and playing a crucial role in shaping its culture and strategy.

You will report directly to the Director of Network Advancement, and as the team continues to grow over the next three years, the structure may evolve to provide further opportunities for professional growth. Be part of a dynamic team dedicated to transforming education through purposeful community partnerships. Together, we can provide every child with the excellent education they deserve.
