Job overview

We are looking for a colleague to engage our young people and community in physical activity to promote good health and positive well-being. This will include marketing and managing college facilities, adult learning classes, sporting activities, health and well-being events and holiday camps. 

The duties include:

● To develop opportunities that look to inspire young people and families to engage in school and community sport at the College.

● To play a leading role in developing and fulfilling the college health and wellbeing strategy

● To strategically work within leadership group of the community health strategy

● To develop partnerships with local sports coaches and organisations that encourage participation

● To coordinate the booking and management of college sports facilities

● To promote, market and evaluate health and wellbeing during evenings, weekends and holidays

● To support the delivery of the colleges’ extra curricular programme including breakfast clubs

● To guide and encourage 16-19 year olds to make appropriate decisions about further participation in sport at a level appropriate to their ability.

● To take positive steps to identify and overcome barriers to participation in physical activity amongst young people, prioritising access and inclusion
