Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a Community Sports Development Officer to support the use of our new floodlit 3G artificial turf pitch, in particular for community use outside of the school day.

Hours of work:

  • Initially for 25 hours per week over a 52 week period, with a combination of daytime, evening and weekend hours.

Role summary:

  • Develop, through effective marketing strategies, the full use of the 3G Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) and other sports facilities in order to maintain the sports centre as a financially viable operation, working in conjunction with the Sports Centre Manager.
  • Manage the day to day use of the 3G AGP and other sports centre facilities.
  • Maintain the 3G AGP and other facilities to the appropriate standard.
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of the Football Development Plan.

The Priory City of Lincoln Academy is mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-18 secondary academy with sixth form, situated in Lincoln in Lincolnshire. There are 787 students on the school roll, of whom 132 are enrolled on 16 to 19 study programmes.

The Priory City of Lincoln Academy is part of the Priory Federation of Academies Trust. In September 2008, the school became a centre for sporting excellence within the county, and is designated an academy with a Sport and Health specialism.
