Company Secretary & Clerk to Board of Trustees, Bellevue Place Education Trust

Time Commitment: Seven meetings a year – 4 hours in duration

Salary: Negotiable hourly or daily rate ad-hoc hours contract

This is a wonderful opportunity for the right person to work with a highly dedicated team of Trustees and the Chief Executive of a multi-academy trust based in Central London. We currently run seven Free Schools but are looking to grow over the next few years to 15. 

You will either have past experience as a Company Secretary and/or professional clerk to governors/Trustees, OR have the aptitude to learn procedural and legal matters of school governance in order to lead in giving advice and direction to the Board and its sub committees. You will have a vital role in organising committee meetings, minute taking and liaising with all the Trustees in order to ensure the smooth running of the Board. You will advise the Board on constitutional matters, duties and powers and will work within the legislative framework.  You will be accountable to the Chair of Trustees and will work closely with her and the Chief Executive. The successful candidate will have the proven ability to be concise and accurate in minute taking. 

Although the majority of work will be within the term time with meetings usually take place during the working day.   Occasionally you will be asked to Clerk meeting that begin earlier or later than these times.

Bellevue Place Education Trust (BPET) is a multi academy trust which operates eleven primary schools across London and Berkshire, with a total of 3,300 pupils. Our registered address is in Balham, but our Central Team is based in Kilburn.
