Overview

We are seeking a Compliance and Admissions Officer to be responsible for offering admissions and visa compliance support to new applicants and existing students, both directly and through the group International Admissions Centre (IAC).

Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:

• Ensuring compliance with the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations for international students.

• Maintaining high quality record-keeping in every area of student application, enrollment and visa records.  

• Acting as the main point of contact with the designated Premium Account Manager within the UKVI.

• Taking responsibility for the administration of all enrolled students. 

• Managing in-country visa applications.

• Working with multiple teams to assist with all aspects of college life,


Qualifications and Experience

You will hold A Levels or equivalent qualifications/experience, have experience of office or educational administration, be competent in the use of a ICT, particularly the use of MS Word and Outlook and Excel, and have a working knowledge of record keeping and data protection. You will have excellent verbal and written English and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Previous experience working with school management systems and with UKVI Tier 4 regulations and processes are desirable.

Checks and Training

• Enhanced DBS checks to ascertain successful candidates suitability to work with children will be carried out. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and therefore all convictions, cautions and bindovers, including those regarded as ‘spent’ must be declared.

• Online searches will be carried out on candidates for any unsuitable content by or about candidates.

• Two written & verbal references from previous employers and a personal reference will be sought. Referees will be asked about candidates suitability to work with children and whether they know of any disciplinary offences relating to children or young persons and whether candidates have been the subject of any child protection allegations or concerns and if so the outcome of any enquiry or disciplinary procedure.

• Candidates full employment history will be checked, any significant gaps will require explanation and proof of any relevant qualifications will need to be provided.

• Successful candidates will be required to complete Child Protection Training via e-learning prior to commencing employment.

• Pre-employment health screening will also be carried out.
