Computer Science & Design Teacher (February 2024)

For February 2024, we are looking for a dynamic Computer Science & Design teacher committed to the holistic growth of students. The appointee will be a member of the Design faculty that is also responsible for the teaching of Design and Computer Science. In Years 6-10, an integrated MYP Design course is delivered: in Years 11 and 12 the IBDP Computer Science course is delivered. The appointee for this post will teach mostly the IBDP Computer Science course in Years 11 and 12 and some MYP integrated Design in another year. 

Interested candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

Post Profile

• Hold a teaching degree in Computer Science or a related subject;
• Have experience of teaching the IB Middle Years and /or Diploma Programme;
• Demonstrate expert classroom practice that promotes inquiry-based learning;
• Command a wide range of digital tools for teaching, communicating and data collecting;
• Possess excellent communication skills, spoken and written;
• Possess excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills;
• Demonstrate a growth mind-set and positive drive. 

Contract

• An initial two-year contract with flights to and from home country for appointee and dependents;
• A salary paid in American dollars which is highly competitive for Latin America;
