We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Computer Science teacher or subject leader for this full time post. The successful candidate will be teaching across KS3, KS4 and KS5.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in contributing to the development of this key area within the curriculum. They will be able to demonstrate the ability to raise our already high standards and academic achievement. Candidates looking to apply should be hardworking professionals, committed to thorough lesson planning, enthusiastic delivery and careful assessment. An ability to teach a second subject would be an advantage.

Tring School is popular and over-subscribed, serving the town of Tring and the surrounding villages. It is a mixed Church of England all-ability school, 1500 on roll, over 300 Post-16. Academic attainment is well above average and improving year on year. The school strives to support and encourage individual growth within a caring community. We have a talented team of staff who are ambitious to become outstanding in all areas of our work. Ofsted Inspection November 2017 stated: ‘Pupils are highly motivated to learn.' ‘Teaching is good overall with outstanding features.’ The school has an established a one to one Chromebook scheme across all key stages and has been recognised for its innovation in using G-Suite by becoming a Google Reference School.

The coming years also look to be exciting ones as the school will go through a massive transformation with a major rebuild project due to commence in 2019.

The post is suitable for either an NQT, an experienced teacher or subject leader with a computing background. All staff receive high quality CPD opportunities and there is a comprehensive induction programme for NQTs.
