With this in mind, we currently have a fantastic opportunity available for Computing Administration Specialist Tutor, working 37 hours per week, to join our current staff in the Computing IT & Business department. As well as experienced teachers, we welcome applications from industry qualified individuals and new or recent graduates. For the right candidate we are willing to be flexible with the start date to accommodate the completion of your current study or contract commitments.

As directed by a Head of Department or Departmental Team Leader the purpose of this role is to provide supervision of your curriculum area ensuring that you meet quality and operational targets. You will also be required deliver high quality, learner focused education to meet contractual requirements and standards, in line with The Manchester College`s policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities (but not limited to) are as follows:

  • Within a Scheme of Work, develop lesson plans to ensure compliance with curriculum best practice and quality targets.
  • Contribute and develop curriculum to meet local and national prioritie
  • Teaching - lead and support delivery and assessment of learning.

You will be required to complete all necessary administration related to the programs.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Must have up-to-date Network Security skills and knowledge, including Ethical Hacking.
  • A teaching qualification at level 5 or above, successful candidate`s without this qualification must be willing to undertake teacher training as part of your role.
  • English & Maths - must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2

Owing to its size, Manchester College is able to offer a huge range of courses at many different academic levels. This includes GCSEs for school leavers looking to do retakes, all the way up to full BA and BSc degrees. Foundation Degrees are also offered, along with short courses.
