COMPUTING PPA TEACHER (FTC)

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s our super new computing teacher flying high with our curriculum…

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated classroom teacher who is passionate about teaching the computing curriculum at Brownlow School on a Fixed Term basis for 1 academic year with a possibility of becoming permanent.

We welcome applications from ECT’s and Unqualified Teachers.

We are looking for an excellent teacher who will have high expectations for all children and who will be an excellent communicator with children, parents and colleagues who will deliver PPA cover in house to our classes. You will teach with the set scheme of work and the Brownlow Road map for the subject.

You will be required to have knowledge of the National Curriculum requirements and have a solid understanding of how children learn to their full potential using many forms of technology. You will aim for high standards of delivery and be innovative in raising curiosity, awe and wonder about the world of computing.

This post will be suitable for an experienced teacher or an ECT seeking statutory induction, or an unqualified teacher who may wish to seek a teaching qualification within the MET. Lessons will be taught across the full primary range from EYFS to Year 6.

About the Mowbray Education Trust

The Mowbray Education Trust (MET) is a multi-academy trust currently educating around 2,500 children from the age of 2 to 16 in the town of Melton Mowbray and surrounding villages in the Borough of Melton.  The MET currently has one secondary school, five primary schools and one pre-school: with potential numerical and geographical growth coming in the very near future.

Melton Mowbray is a rural market town in Leicestershire which is easily commutable from Grantham, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Oakham.

The MET has a central support services team, with staff managing Estates, Finance, HR, IT and Operations, across our schools.  The central team are based at offices within John Ferneley College and The Grove Primary in Melton Mowbray.

This post is a fixed term contract for the first year and will be reviewed at the end of a probationary period with a view to becoming permanent position. This position is full time and could lead to further opportunities in the MET

The salary will be dependent on experience but will follow the Main pay scale for teachers or unqualified teachers
