Job overview

Computing Teacher

Part-time, permanent

Required September 2026

FTE £32,916 -- £45,352

St Mark’s CE School is one whole school community, where we create a sense of belonging for all who enter our school. Our core Christian values of love, belonging and service are nurtured and modelled through high standards by excellent staff. St Mark's opened the secondary phase of its all-through school in 2022 when the school moved into brand new facilities. The school is highly oversubscribed and quickly established an excellent local reputation, including a rating of 'good' in all areas by Ofsted in 2022.

We are seeking an exceptional Computing teacher, to teach and inspire in our Secondary phase in line with the whole school Christian distinctiveness and ethos. You will effectively teach and develop your chosen subject within the school and provide guidance to and form positive relationships with all students. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the teaching skills and secondary phase knowledge to work within our school community, where our warm strict behaviour policy allows teachers to enjoy teaching their subject without disruption.

To be successful, you will hold qualified teacher status with evidence of professional development gained within the last two years. You will be a passionate and creative teacher and practitioner ready to join our growing all through school.

Being part of a growing school is a rare and exciting opportunity and the unique context of being Southampton's only all through school, gives candidates an opportunity to work across all ages with a range of staff as we further expand and gain a really broad range of experiences.

Closing date: 4pm, Sunday 22nd February 2026

Applications can be made through TES or directly via the school website. https://www.stmarksschool.co.uk/community/vacancies-at-st-marks/ and return completed applications to: recruitment@st-marks-southampton.org.uk

We reserve the right to call candidates for interview and appoint to the role before the closing date

Unfortunately we do not have the ability to support sponsorship.

St Mark’s Church of England School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This role requires an enhanced DBS.
