About City Heights E-ACT Academy

We are an established secondary school designed to deliver an excellent 21st century education to local children and for the wider community in Tulse Hill, Lambeth and North Streatham. The Academy will grow year on year so that by 2019, we will have up to 180 students in each year group.

City Heights E-ACT Academy offers a broad and inclusive curriculum, providing individual pathways for all students to learn and progress, whether that is to university, college, apprenticeships or employment. Our curriculum ensures that the most able students study an academically rigorous curriculum, providing them with qualifications that will gain them places at the top universities and developing a lifelong love of learning. It also provides support for those students who need to work on their literacy, numeracy and learning skills in order to be able to gain the foundations for success in other subjects across the curriculum.

The Academy’s specialism is Spanish and there is a strong focus on Modern Foreign languages, with students of all abilities being offered the opportunity to engage with languages at an appropriate level for them. Offering Spanish as a specialism will enable students to engage with the rich culture and heritage of Spanish-speaking countries, as well as providing a competitive edge for them in the world of work.

We are delighted to have Dulwich College as an educational partner. They share a belief in the importance of setting their students high expectations from the moment that they start, so that young people apply grit and determination to their studies which will help them achieve their ambitions.
