Job Title:        Construction Teacher/Unqualified Teacher

Salary:       £36,000 per annum

Location:        Shifnal School, Shifnal, Shropshire

Hours:             40 hours per week; Monday to Friday

Contract:        Permanent; Term Time

We’re looking for a Construction Teacher to join the Shifnal School team.

About the Role

We want a hard-working and inspirational Construction Teacher to teach pupils basic construction skills and help them to gain qualifications.

You will plan and deliver the curriculum with the support of senior staff where required.

We are looking for someone with drive and a willingness to go the extra mile to improve the lives of the young people in our care. Strong inter-personal skills, team working, and a sense of humour are also vital. Must be honest, trustworthy and reliable and empathetic to working with young people with special educational needs and their families and carers.

About our School

Hillcrest Shifnal School is undergoing an exciting project to grow our site and our current offer. This project will consist of a nurture space and vocational areas such as construction, catering and hair & beauty. This growth means we are looking to expand our staff team and we hope that we can find the perfect person to join the Hillcrest Shifnal team.

We are a small school on the outskirts of Shifnal with stunning grounds and rolling countryside surrounding us. Our staff are dedicated to delivering education in a therapeutic and trauma informed way.

As part of our new structure, we have an opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious Assistant Headteacher - Curriculum to join our school, working closely with the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher to effectively lead Hillcrest Shifnal School and deliver our vision, mission and strategic priorities.
