An opportunity has become available at our Harrogate Campus to become part of our Construction teaching team. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a background in the Construction industry who is passionate about passing their knowledge onto others and promoting a quality experience for the learner. Harrogate Construction is a thriving industry, you will be part of a team that works to reflect this in the curriculum, taking on new projects and approaches to delivering these key skills.
What you will do
- Your role will primarily aid in servicing the department by preparing teaching materials and ensuring the health and safety processes are managed and monitored
- You will also support in classroom situations, this will require you working alongside the teaching team to ensure learners are able to develop skills in a safe and nurturing environment
- You will have opportunities to demonstrate skills to groups of learners and develop skills that can lead towards a teaching qualification
Your profile
- You will have great interpersonal skills and be able to adapt your working practice to communicate with team members, support staff, learners and employers
- You will have a relevant background and understanding of the Construction industry and be able to promote current practices
- You will be able to work effectively in a dynamic, team based environment
- You need to be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise your own workload
- Having experience of working with suppliers and managing a stock is desirable but not essential
