This is a great opportunity to apply your technical abilities and pass on your trade skills, helping develop our students’ knowledge and understanding of the construction industry from a practical point of view.
As a Construction Workshop Technician/Facilitator, your role will focus on providing support in the workshops that underpin the Craft and Building Services curriculum at our Castleford campus. This covers a number of training and learning programmes, spanning bricklaying, bench joinery and site carpentry, as well as electrical installation, plastering and plumbing, with qualifications from entry level to Level 4 (HNC).
Day to day this will involve the preparation of materials and equipment, dismantling work prepared by students, the general maintenance of the workshops and ensuring adequate stock is readily available.
Ideally we are looking for trade professionals who have a broad breadth of general construction industry experience and would relish the chance to play a part in helping our learners achieve their goals. It would be great if you already had your First Aid Qualification, or you’re willing to obtain this within six months of joining us.
The benefits are great and include generous holidays and pension scheme.
See what we have to offer and come join us. You won’t be disappointed.
