Job overview

Thank you for your interest in this role with Anthem Schools Trust. Anthem is a multi-academy trust of 11 primary and five secondary schools in the East Midlands, London and the Thames Valley. Together we create ambitious and successful schools where every child thrives. Our approach is built on three core values: Integrity, Collaboration and Excellence. These values reflect the culture we want to achieve throughout our organisation, from the boardroom to every classroom in every one of our schools. In practice, this means behaving with openness and honesty to build trust in everything we do. It means providing opportunities for our children and our adults to work together and learn from each other to ensure we are the best we can possibly be. And it means being consistent and ambitious for excellence, in all its different forms.

The vacancy has arisen due to the desire to further increase capacity across the School Leadership Teams within the Thames Valley. Anthem is at an exciting point in its development, not only striving to raise standards yet further across our schools, but also looking ahead to the Trust’s future and possibilities for growth.

The Consultant Senior Leader will be deployed by the School Improvement Team and work very closely with the Education Director responsible for Secondary schools, the Associate Education Director and the Headteacher within the schools they are seconded to. The successful candidate will:

  • benefit from both support and challenge from colleagues within the School Improvement and Education Executive Teams as well as high-quality training and mentoring from colleagues within the Trust and beyond.
  • be able to demonstrate that they share our values and will not settle for anything less than the highest possible standards of education for all.
  • be able to evidence their impact in terms of rapid and sustainable school improvement, both personally and through others.

If you feel you have the skills, drive and commitment to join us at this pivotal time in Anthem’s history, we very much look forward to receiving your application by completing the Anthem application attached at the end of this page. Please email your completed application form to lgeide@anthemtrust.uk

More information about this exciting opportunity can be found in the job description and person specification at the end of this page. If you would like to discuss the role, please contact Lasma Geide, Executive Assistant lgeide@anthemtrust.uk who will organise for you to speak with Jane Coley, Education Director.

Application deadline: Monday, 25 October 2021 at 5pm.

Please note that we reserve the right to close the recruitment campaign earlier than this date subject to the volume of applications received. We therefore encourage candidates to submit applications as early as possible.

Interview information: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in the week beginning 25 October 2021.
