We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized individual to lead our kitchen team, prepare delicious meals, and maintain top-notch food standards 

✨ Key Details

💰 Salary: From £11,701 pa actual (LSEAT Harmonised Scale 13 to 15) 

⏰ Hours: 20 hours per week (4 hours per day)

📅 Schedule: 39 weeks, Term-Time Only (Enjoy your school holidays!)

📍 Locations: East Sussex Academy sites (Newhaven, Eastbourne, Hastings) 

👤 Responsible to: Headteacher / Deputy Headteacher

👩‍🍳 What You’ll Do

• Order, prepare, cook, and serve high-quality food to Trust standards

• Supervise, guide, and train your kitchen team

• Manage stock control, food rotation, and minimize wastage

• Complete daily temperature records, monitoring, and cleaning schedules 

• Act as a positive, welcoming brand ambassador for the school

⭐ Who We’re Looking For

• A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Someone with an NVQ Level 1 or 2 qualification (and working towards Level 3)

• Knowledge of COSHH, PPE, and food handling safety practices

• A patient, resilient, and dedicated professional who enjoys working in a school environment.

• Please note: A satisfactory Enhanced DBS and Barred List check are essential for this safeguarding-regulated role
