About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an HSIE at Carroll College.  To be successful in this role, you will have strong classroom management and organisational skills that create supportive and safe environments including managing challenging student behaviours and meeting a variety of learning needs.

This position is for an initial two-year period with an opportunity for further extensions. Two further extensions (each of four years) may be offered based on performance outcomes. The position will be underpinned by a permanent (ongoing) teaching position within Catholic Education.


Essential Criteria

The successful applicant will:

  • Be an outstanding teacher of experience and initiative who can work effectively with the pastoral team, colleagues, students and families.
  • As a leader of experience and initiative work effectively with the Principal, Executive, Curriculum Leadership team, Pastoral team and Inclusive Education team to develop a vision for curriculum and pastoral care in the College
  • Support the Principal and Executive to build community with staff, students and their families
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, parents and community agencies
  • Support the AP Curriculum in leading the HSIE activities of the College
  • Support the Principal and Executive in all other initiatives as required.
