GEMS Education, is seeking an experienced school (pastoral) leader to join our Children’s Service Team at our Head Offices in Dubai. This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to develop our Wellbeing Strategy and initiatives in order to shape a positive and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive. The Head of Wellbeing will play an important role in promoting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of students across our diverse network of schools in the Middle East.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  1. Wellbeing Framework: Design and execute comprehensive wellbeing programmes that align with the UAE Wellbeing Framework and best practice, addressing the needs of students and staff, and fostering a culture of health and happiness.
  2. Mental Health Support: Provide guidance and support for students and staff dealing with mental health issues, including counseling services and access to resources.
  3. Health and Wellness Initiatives: Oversee initiatives related to physical health, nutrition, and fitness, promoting a healthy lifestyle for all members of the school community.
  4. Community Engagement: Collaborate with parents, teachers, and external stakeholders to create a unified approach to wellbeing, ensuring a holistic support system.
  5. Training and Professional Development: Offer training and workshops to staff on topics related to wellbeing, equipping them with the tools to support students effectively.
