School Counsellor (self-employed)
We are seeking a self-employed School Counsellor to provide a regular and permanent Counselling service to the school. The successful applicant will be part of a multidisciplinary team that supports the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of pupils at Cranleigh, the School Counsellor will provide a professional, flexible and confidential counselling service to pupils.
It is expected that the Counsellor will visit the school on defined hours each week – there is flexibility in terms of days and hours although most appointments take place in the afternoon or early evening - during term time to provide counselling to pupils referred by the school. In addition they would provide a confidential drop-in service so pupils may refer themselves.
The successful applicant will have experience in working with young people and have the relevant counselling qualifications, have appropriate professional indemnity insurance and be a member of a professional body.
Applicants who can provide CBT are particularly welcomed.

Cranleigh’s 280 acre site, situated eight miles from Guildford near the Surrey - West Sussex border, is part of Cranleigh Village and within forty-five minutes of London.
