COURSE LEADER IN PUBLIC & EMERGENCY SERVICES/OUTDOOR EDUCATION
Salary: £29,496 to £35,763 per annum
Working hours: Full time, 37 hours per week – permanent
Location: Bridgwater Campus
You will be responsible for the overall management, delivery and performance of the internal verification and quality assurance of the Level 2 Public Service provision at our Bridgwater Campus. This remit will also cover a small, but growing, Outdoor Education provision. This person will also play a key role in developing internal recruitment to our Level 3 and Higher Education Public Service provision.
The post holder will be joining an AoC Beacon award winning provision and the College’s Sports, Outdoor Education and Public Services Department is outstandingly successful. It prides itself on its emphasis on constantly improving and developing teaching techniques and strategies. You would be working in an environment where you will be encouraged to devote time to innovative teaching approaches which will stimulate the learners and ensure that the provision continues to be bigger, better and different.
There will be an expectation of the post holder to have the pre-requisite experience and appropriate qualifications to be able to co-ordinate and plan the delivery and assessment of the BTEC syllabus, whilst maintaining excellent working relationships with different public services across the county. To this end, the person appointed to the post will be expected to play a proactive role in growing links locally, regionally and nationally with key external agencies.
