Course Team Leader – BTEC Science

Salary in the range of £32,987 - £39,004 per annum including London Weighting

Uxbridge College is one of the leading providers of Further Education in West London and we were graded as ‘Outstanding’ at our last Ofsted inspection (2008).

Our Academy has around 600 students, including approximately 300 studying a variety of A Levels. We are seeking to appoint a Course Team Leader to lead BTEC Science programmes in the Academy and teach across a range of courses according to your specialism.  You will support the Section Manager for Science in the organisation and development of the curriculum, ensuring that the best use is made of team resources.  You will promote the use of course materials and best practice within the course team.  Your role will have a particular focus on the personal development, behaviour and welfare of learners.

You will need to hold a degree in a Science subject and will either possess an advanced level teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.  You should have experience of teaching science subjects and be able to teach a science subject up to A-Level. Ideally you will have gained some team leadership and curriculum co-ordination experience.
