Salary: £22,813 - £26,129 Grade 5 (SP 9-17) pro rata (actual)

 

Term Time plus 3 weeks (includes 5 INSET Days)

 

37 hours per week Monday to Friday (7.30am – 3.30 pm and 3.00pm on Friday)

We are looking to appoint a dynamic, motivated and forward thinking Cover Co-ordinator and Digital (on-line) Learning Co-ordinator as part of Administrative and IT Support Team to organize cover and absences as well as support the development and efficient organization of on-line and digital learning platforms and electronic resources for students and parents.

The main aim of this job is to provide cover administration using our MIS system and ensure that this is managed effectively to cover lessons and input absence information in an efficient and confidential manner.

We wish to appoint someone who is a motivated and independent person who is committed to provide support for our students, parents and staff in the use of electronic resources including our SharePoint Site (Learning Platform), developing a revised parents evening on-line system, and supporting with parental/student apps and subject electronic resources. The successful person will work alongside a variety of Subjects leads, Learning Resource Centre Manager, IT technicians and other staff to help develop/administer a wide range of on-line and digital resources and support in technical issues/training for our students, staff and parents.

The successful candidate will also be part of the IT Services department to provide friendly and efficient technical support and assist with the delivery, maintenance and implementation of the Academy’s IT Services. In this role, you will help to ensure that our IT facilities and infrastructure are effective in supporting both the teaching and learning requirements as well as the business functions within the academy including aspects of IT technical support, guidance, maintenance, updates and system security as time permits.

The successful candidate should:

  • have at least 5 GCSE’s including English, Maths and ICT/Computing at Level 4 (Grade C) or above and A levels in ICT/Computing or equivalent and/or higher relevant qualifications would be advantageous
  • have a high level of IT skills, knowledge and abilities
  • have some experience of working with students in a school in particular
  • have knowledge and experience of technology, schools MIS systems e.g. SIMS/Arbor, learning platforms and other technologies such as supporting with Learning Platforms, apps, websites or other systems
  • have a passion for learning and working with children to support them in their learning through effective use of technology
  • be able to work independently and manage own time to arrive on time
  • have the ability to motivate, inspire and go the extra mile for our students and staff
  • have the ability to stimulate curiosity, interest and enjoyment in learning and develop students wider understanding of the world around them and the digital skills they will need in the future
  • be able to inspire students and get the best from them
  • be positive, enthusiastic and resilient
  • be an effective team member
  • have a clear understanding of supporting teaching and learning
  • have highly developed inter – personal skills, communication and excellent ICT skills including Office 365/SharePoint
  • be able to work effectively with students, staff and parents,
  • have a clear understanding of the importance of Safeguarding and equal opportunities including on-line safety and GDPR
  • meet the job specification criteria
