Permanent Position – 36 hours per week 

Grade E - term time only + 2 weeks

 (SCP 11-16 - £19,148.00 - £21,141.00 (pro rata due to post being TTO + 2 weeks)

The successful candidate is required to commence as soon as possible.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed, hardworking and able person to the role of Cover Manager & Communications Officer at Longdendale High School.    You will be responsible for managing the daily cover of absence staff and the school cover diary alongside this you will be responsible for promoting all aspects of positive news stories for the school through social media platforms and other medias and within the local community.

You will also be expected to support the Senior Leadership Team to provide a professional, efficient and effective administrative service.

The role will involve working closely with staff and students and duties will include administration tasks, involving the use of various computerised packages.   As well as working effectively as a team, the ability to work independently and using your own initiative is essential.    Appropriate skills and knowledge for this role is essential.  Experience in a similar role within a school environment, would be desirable however full training will be provided.   

The successful candidate will be asked to be part of a team first aiders, which will involve dealing with a wide variety of students and providing appropriate assistance.   Experience in this area would be preferable, however full training will be provided.   Working in a professional manner, paying attention to detail and having the ability to carry out all duties in line with school expectations and policies are all qualities, which are essential.

Due to the nature of organising cover within a school environment, Hours of work are to be 36 hours per week: 7.30am-3.15pm (including 30 minute unpaid lunch break) Monday-Thursday and 7.30pm-3.00pm (including 30 minute unpaid lunch break) on a Friday
