We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Cover Manager to lead our team of Cover Supervisors, responsible for supervising classes during the short term absence of teachers. The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging all cover, room changes and agency booking as well as providing classroom supervision. The successful candidate will be required to give instructions for the lesson, as provided by the teacher and keep students on task while maintaining good order and following academy systems and policies. In addition to responding to unplanned absences, the appointed person will need to manage cover requests for planned absences, liaise with external supply agencies and keep records using academy system.

The hours for this vacancy are 37 hours per week, 7am – 3pm Monday to Friday.

For candidates who are well suited to the administrative side of the role but would prefer not to offer cover supervision or manage the team of Cover Supervisors, there is the option to apply for the role of Cover Administrator (30 hours per week, 7am – 1pm Mon – Fri), on a salary band commensurate with the reduced responsibilities.
