We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well organised and committed Cover Manager who will organise the planning and allocation of daily cover arrangements for planned and unplanned staff absences. You will co-ordinate and support the daily timetable for Cover Supervisors and supply staff to ensure agreed lesson plans are delivered effectively and efficiently in order to maintain good order, keeping students on task in the classroom ensuring they progress through the planned curriculum. You will liaise with external supply agencies to secure the best candidates to cover absence where required.

The successful candidate will have good communication and time management skills and be proficient in the use of MS Office, in particular SIMS and Excel. This role can be fast paced and challenging with no two days the same, so we are looking for someone who possesses excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, whilst ensuring that the educational provision for students is maintained to the highest standard of attainment and achievement.

This role will also include some cover supervisor duties so experience in the classroom and behaviour management skills are essential to provide effective classroom supervision and support to supply teachers to support learning and teaching.

Previous experience of working in a school setting with children and young people is essential as is a desire to want to make a difference.
